Flexible programs, reasonable tuition
At FCNS we know the challenges families face and work to provide flexible programs and competitive rates for our community.
We have three classes to meet your early childhood education needs:
Toddler: children ages 15 months to 2.8 at the start of the school year
Preschool: children ages 2.9 to 3.11 at the start of the school year
Pre-K: children ages 4.0 and above who are eligible for Kindergarten the following September
FCNS School-year classes
September to June classrooms
A child is eligible for a class by their age as of August 31st. Children do not transition into the next class by their age but by how they will matriculate into elementary school.
Different learning environments
We have 5 acres of land that includes outdoor classrooms, hiking trails, a pond and streams. We have a large fenced-in playground as well as an indoor space that we only use when it is dangerous to be outside.
Nature-based focus
Our program facilitates learning through exposure to nature and nature-based activities. All of the classes go outside EVERY day in all kinds of weather (unless it is dangerous to do so).
Low teacher: student ratios
We have 1 educator to 4 or 5 kids. Classroom sizes range from 9 children to 10 children with 2 educators per class.
4-Hour & 6-Hour Classes
Our 4-Hour classes are from 9AM to 1PM. The 6-hour classes are from 9AM to 3PM. We have Tues/Thurs, Mon/Wed/Fri and Mon to Fri class options.
Play-based learning
Through play, children develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments.
